Blueberry Cove Inn Welcomes a Newcomer to Town

I would like to extend my warmest welcome to the newest member of the Narragansett lodging community, The Break, a Narragansett Hotel.  Locally owned by the Durkins as a part of the Lark Hotels, it will open a new niche in lodging for our seaside community. Described as a boutique hotel with 16 guest rooms, roof top lounge, pool and all sorts of snazzy amenities and decor it is going to be something very different for our town. Hipsters are going to flock to this place!

They seem to be following the lead of the Bed and Breakfasts in the community with their policies and reservation requirements. Occupancy rules seem to be based on the fire code. I can't tell from their copy if they are offering breakfast as a part of the stay or if it will be available in the dining room for a fee so you might want to check that out before you book. They will be accepting children as guests but not pets. Of course you can reserve on-line if you wish. It looks like they will have an elevator but check with them for handicapped accessibility.

The hotel is located at 1200 Ocean Road. That's just past Spain of Narragansett but before you get to the 108 intersection where Aunt Carries and Iggys reign. The hotel is still under construction but feel free to visit them on Facebook (give them a like too) or visit their website. Tell them we sent you.

So why would I spend time on my blog giving free publicity to a new competitor? First, I'm still a mid-western and Texas girl at heart and it is the nice thing to do. Second, it looks like it will be really cool. And, frankly, The Break is for the type of guest that wants things that Blueberry Cove Inn doesn't offer. It just isn't what we are. So let's celebrate the diversity! Vive' la difference!
